Last month, Legal Services attorneys Erin Hoover, Jackie Ebert, and Nerlande Joseph comprised a panel in the midst of COVID-19. The panel, “Pandemic Impact on the Legal Landscape”, was hosted by United Way’s Mission United as a part of their Warrior Wednesday programming. Mission United regularly hosts Warrior Wednesday events as a part of its initiative to help veterans reacclimate to civilian life by connecting them and their families with essential services. This panel discussed the impact of COVID-19 on public benefits, consumer issues, court operations, tenant’s rights, and family law. The panelists provided the most up-to date information to veterans regarding reemployment assistance benefits, Economic Impact Payments, eviction moratoriums, and many more. The event was hosted on Zoom, streamed on Facebook live, and was well attended.
